Why fifth graders don't make laws

A Missouri State Senator has introduced a proposal to ban cold beer sales as noted by the Associated Press today. The idea came from a fifth-grade student in a program to teach kids how government works.

Of course, some day when the kid grows up, he will walk into a bar like the Inn on the Park and realize that government actually works with a lot of cold beer.

I think it is safe to say this legislator wouldn't have a long career here in Wisconsin.
