'DeLay' in getting rid of campaign cash
Now that Rep. Tom DeLay (R-TX) is leaving Congress, Wisconsin's representative Paul Ryan (R-Janesville) has announced he will give back the money he received from DeLay. It's about time.
Will this prompt Rep. Mark Green to finally get rid of his $31,000? He has put it in a separate account saying he is waiting for state law to change so he can give it to charity or the state's "rainy day" fund. I know the rainy day fund isn't flush with cash, but does it really need $31,000 so badly that Rep. Mark Green should hang onto money he received from what may turn out to be one of the most corrupt politicians of all time?
In his interview with Time Magazine:
Asked what he wished he'd done differently, DeLay said, "Nothing."Wow. Do you think Rep. Green is wishing he had handled the money from DeLay differently?
