Madison School Board race

Juan Jose Lopez did indeed get beat in the race for Madison School Board. And beat badly.

I'm not sure why he did not run a more aggressive campaign. How could he not see that he was going to have a tough race after the defeat of Bill Clingan and the losing referendums? I am a rock solid voter even in spring elections. I am the type of person you need to contact. I only received one piece of mail from Lopez. I received four from Lucy Mathiak.

I hope Lopez stays involved in the Madison School District. But I also wish Lucy Mathiak well in her term on the board. The next few years are not going to be fun for the board. I think she is up to the challenge and hope she and Arlene Silveira, the other winner on Tuesday, enjoy their service as much as you can with hundreds of parents angry at you all the time.
